Student of the Week for March 5-9:

Ellis Hamrick is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Sarah Carter's second grade class. 
What do you like about school? I like going outside at recess and playing with my friends.
What was the last book you read? Magic Tree House "Sunset of the Saber-tooth"
If you had $1,000, what would you do with it? I would buy more chapter books, because I don't have a lot.
What is something that you do well? I play basketball very well.
What do you like to do for fun? When my dad comes home, I like to play catch.
What do you want to be when you grow up? NASCAR racer
Mrs. Carter says, "I nominated Ellis as student of the week because he displays exceptional citizenship by his willingness to help fellow classmates.  He is respectful to both peers and teachers.  Also, he shows exemplary character through his responsibility and optimism in creating a positive school environment.  He listens to others, shows kindness and consideration."

What do you like to do for fun? latch hook
What do you want to be when you grow up? archeologist
Mrs. Perez says, "Bailey comes to school each day prepared and ready to give her best effort in class.  She is kind and caring towards the adults and peers at Centennial.  Bailey is a delight to have as a member of the class."

Scarlett Baker is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Jenny Burgess's first grade class. 
What do you like about school? School is fun, everyone gets to learn.

If you had $1,000, what would you do with it? I would buy a bunch of books.
What is something that you do well? ride my bike
What do you like to do for fun? play with my cousin Sophie
What do you want to be when you grow up? an artist
Mrs. Burgess says, "Scarlett is a model student who goes out of her way to make everyone feel special.  Scarlett strives to do her best everyday.  She walks into the classroom with a positive "I can" attitude and encourages her classmates to do the same.  Scarlett's genuine personality shines all around Centennial.  She is a star!"

What do you like about school? I like that I learn and that I have friends that care about me.

If you had $1,000, what would you do with it? If no one had money, I would give them money.
What is something that you do well? read
What do you like to do for fun? play teacher or house with my friends
What do you want to be when you grow up? a teacher
Ms. Lewis says, "Selena is always positive.  She is always encouraging students when they are sad or not feeling well.  She is a positive role model as well as a very hard worker!  I am so happy she is a part of my class!"

Aubrey Stamper is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Rachel Burns's fifth grade class. 
What do you like about school? The loving, caring environment and the teachers

If you had $1,000, what would you do with it? buy a llama and give a portion to charity
What is something that you do well? Science
What do you like to do for fun? shopping
What do you want to be when you grow up? makeup artist
Mrs. Burns says, "Aubrey is a model student!  She comes to school each day with a smile on her face ready to learn.  Aubrey gives her best effort on every assignment and pushes herself to reach her goals.  She is a natural leader and a friend to everyone, making sure that no one is ever left out.  Aubrey has been an absolute joy to have in class this year, and I consider myself lucky to be her teacher."
